About Sundial
Sundial, listed on the National Register of Historic Places and the Oklahoma State Historic Register, is a Mediterranean-style home patterned after Italian villas at the turn of the century. The home was built on a 20-acre tract by Sparta, Greece, native John Sinopoulo for his wife, Katherine de la Montaigne. Local historians remember Sinopoulo for his contributions to entertainment and culture in Oklahoma City – for example, the historic Delmar Garden, a family amusement park originally southwest of Reno and Western avenues from 1902 to 1909. The family also built or owned many of the city’s early day movie palaces.
